Project DC Events Hires Full Time Employee and Summer Interns to Join the Team

Monday, June 9, 2014 – Arlington, VA – Project DC Events opened their Courthouse office doors May 2014. The company hired Aaron Huynh as its first full time employee the same month. Huynh serves as Project DC Events’ graphic designer.

In addition to Huynh, three summer interns will also be joining the Project DC Events’ team in 2014. The interns will assist with marketing, advertising, and event support. Summer intern, Dana Ronan, is a rising senior from New Jersey studying Business Management at George Mason University. She was drawn to apply for the position after attending several of Project DC’s events in the past. Ronan stated, “I have been to a few of Project DC’s events and loved the energy of all the people working them. I wanted to be one of them! I am excited to be working behind the scenes to help plan and market the events this summer.”

Another intern, Nitika Dumera, is a rising senior from Arlington, VA studying Business Administration at Marymount University. She stated, “As a resident of Arlington, I am very excited to intern with Project DC Events. I can’t wait to work on events in my neighborhood this summer.”

The third intern, Lena Marinaccaio, is a rising senior from New Jersey studying Fashion Merchandising at Marymount University. She proclaimed, “Project DC Events is a very fun company to intern for! I am learning so much about event planning and social media. I can’t wait for the bar crawls.”

Hiring its first full time employee and adding three interns to the team is only the beginning for Project DC Events. Moving forward, Project DC Events has plans to expand its market. Alex Lopez, Co-owner of Project DC Events, stated, “Getting an office space and interns just puts us one step closer to moving in that direction. We are happy with the work our interns are doing. They are each a great addition to the team. We hope their time here is as valuable to them as it is to us. We greatly appreciate the knowledge and experience they bring to the table.”
